One of my absolute favorite things to do is spend time with my husband. He is a fun person to hang with and when our kids are older, he will be the only one left in the house (hopefully). So, we like to keep the flames going even now so things stay fresh.
Staycations are the easiest way to get away without getting away. During our staycations, we typically don't drive more than 2 hours away. Our two favorite spots is Tampa and Sarasota. We live in Tampa and I hate to brag but our city is chalked full of fun activities and memory making moments. Below is an sample itinerary that you can use to enjoy a staycation.
Friday
-Check into hotel
-Relax, enjoy the amenities and each other
-Head to dinner
Saturday
-Breakfast
-Morning Walk and Talk
-Relax and enjoy the amenities at the hotel
-Lunch
-Explore the city by booking an excursion (Segway tour, boat ride, kayaking, museum visit, etc.)
-Back to hotel to change and chill
-Head to dinner
Sunday
-Breakfast
-More time to explore the city
-Lunch
-Head back home
When we do a staycation, we like to find fun things we haven't done in the city before and try to eat at our favorite restaurants and try at least one or two new places.
Whatever you decide to do, do something. Pull out that calendar and schedule your Staycation with your partner. You won't regret it.
